Employment Planner - Toronto Region

We are seeking a candidate who is able to work independently, energetic, well-organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated with a strong customer service orientation and is a strategic and entrepreneurial thinker.

Responsibilities:

• Provide employment counselling, labour market research and employer consultation
• Assist clients with career exploration to identify vocational options
• Determine supports needed to overcome disability related barriers to employment
• Coordinate the provision of services and supports to help clients achieve competitive employment

Qualifications:

• Experience in providing ODSP employment supports services
• Excellent knowledge of job accommodations, labour market trends, programs and community resources, particularly those focused on training and employment for people with disabilities
• Extensive experience in vocational counselling and case management
• Excellent needs assessment, planning and service coordination skills
• Post-secondary education in Social Sciences or Disability Studies
• Excellent report writing, file management, administrative and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
• Competency with Outlook Express and all MS Office Applications is essential
• Qualified candidates will be extremely detail-focused and able to meet tight deadlines
• Must have ability to work independently and take initiative
• Possess a valid driver's license and a car & ability to work from home-office

This is a Consulting position on a fee-for-service basis with excellent compensation with opportunity to self-schedule. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with ODSP- Employment Supports experience.
