Job Developer - Toronto Region

Responsibilities:

• Assist persons with disabilities with job search, resume preparation and interviewing skills
• Provide employer outreach, labour market research and job development services
• Locate, set up and monitor job placements
• Negotiate job accommodations and on the job training
• Coordinate employment supports services including job coaching
• Provide supportive monitoring and follow up to client and employer

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in job placement, employment counselling or vocational rehabilitation
• Post-secondary education in Social Sciences, Human Resources or equivalent
• Knowledge of disabilities, job accommodations and employment supports services
• Demonstrates ability to identify employer needs, match clients to work environments and successfully negotiate job placements
• Competency with all MS Office applications and Outlook is essential
• Excellent report writing, administrative and organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills
• Competency with Outlook Express and all MS Office Applications is essential
• Qualified candidates will be extremely detail-focused and able to meet tight deadlines
• Must have ability to work independently and take initiative
• Possess a valid driver's license and a car & ability to work from home-office

This is a Consulting position on a fee-for-service basis with excellent compensation with opportunity to self-schedule. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience with ODSP- Employment Supports experience.
